I grew up working in construction and gained familiarity with the industry early on.  I always enjoyed it and especially loved how, in construction, you could see the results of your work.  It’s really gratifying when you drive past a building or project and can say, “I helped build that.”

When I started law school, I was still working construction during the day and attending school at night.  So, construction law was a natural area of concentration for me.  I completed an externship focusing on construction and real estate law at a small firm, and then landed a clerkship here at BBG where I found my people.

My advice would be to join and get involved in industry groups.  For me, being an active member of the AGC Future Leaders Forum is a great way to build relationships, network, and to learn about and understand our clients and the challenges they face in the field.

My claim to fame is that I can drive a Zamboni.  Outside of work, I enjoy spending time at the hockey rink, on the golf course, and on the slopes with my family.
