Stephen Wheeler

Stephen Wheeler is a Colorado construction attorney whose career in the construction industry began long before law school. After earning a degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University, where he served as President of the CSU Student Chapter of the AGC and competed in multiple ASC Student Competitions, Stephen spent five years working for a general contractor as an estimator and project engineer. This hands-on experience provided him with firsthand insight into every stage of a construction project, from preconstruction planning and estimating to project execution and closeout, as well as the challenges, risks, and opportunities facing construction professionals.

Stephen later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado Law School, where he focused on advocacy, negotiation, dispute resolution, and construction-related legal issues. Drawing on his background in both construction and law, Stephen provides practical, business-minded counsel tailored to the needs of contractors and other industry stakeholders. His experience on both sides of the industry allows him to approach legal challenges with a deep understanding of how construction projects are planned, built, and successfully delivered.
