Henry will be on a panel discussing “Disruption/Loss of Productivity Claims”. Disruption and loss of productivity often go in tandem, where loss of productivity is the effect of disruption. However, loss of productivity is often difficult to prove and link to specific disruptive events. The panel will discuss causes of disruption and loss of productivity. In addition, the panel will answer questions such as: Has COVID impacted productivity of construction projects and if so, has that impact always been negative? Are productivity claims often a catch all for a contractor’s own issues performance? The methods used to calculate and value productivity loss and how to properly correlate this loss to disruptive events will also be discussed.
